Beauty Amid Destruction

In late April 2011 a tornado, nearly a mile wide, struck the community of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. With a death toll more than 40 and the injured approaching 1,000, the tornado left major damage in some areas and completely obliterated the majority of the city, most of which was residential.

In response to the destruction they saw around them, a group of Tuscaloosa residents directly affected by the tornado, were driven to offer some hope in the form of art to the community. Learn more about this here.
